Bitwards’ open access control platform, is expanding its reach by partnering with lock manufacturers Dormakaba, XPR Group, and Südmetall.
Bitwards is a Finnish technology company whose platform enables secure access control in the cloud, regardless of the lock manufacturer. User access is facilitated through user-friendly and reliable mobile access applications.
Dormakaba has launched an intelligent MTL lock body that combines a traditional mechanical lock body, security locking, and Bitwards’ smart mobile access technology. This lock body is compatible with all mechanical Nordic doors and can be operated conventionally with a key or with Bitwards’ mobile key.
XPR Group is a significant European lock manufacturer of security technology products, including readers, controllers, and software products. In the coming year, XPR will introduce a new reader product line that leverages Bitwards’ mobile identification technology.
Also, the notable German lock manufacturer Südmetall has launched a smart lock body suitable for all Central and Southern European doors. Like Dormakaba’s lock, this one operates both through mobile and key access, with the added feature of unlocking the lock with an RFID card.
All these mentioned products seamlessly operate through Bitwards’ cloud-based access control system, providing mobile access capabilities to users worldwide.
Lock manufacturers have also embraced the Bitwards service and started offering it alongside their products. Previously, Swedish company Flexlock acted as a reseller for Bitwards and sold the concept. Now, Südmetall and XPR will also begin offering the Bitwards service to their customers.
