CERTEGO chose Bitwards’s mobile access technology to strengthen the smart lock services.  Bitwards’s technology transforms a smartphone into a digital keyset, and access rights are easier and more flexible to control.

The phone application directs the smart lock to open via Bluetooth or NFC.  The device doesn’t need an internet connection to communicate with the lock.

CERTEGO’s Service Director Mirva Viljakainen:

“We are happy to include Bitwards’s Mobile ID solution into our range of services. We believe that mobile access will be the everyday solution in the future and cooperation with Bitwards confirms our ability to serve our clients even better. Onboarding and use are fast and CERTEGO’s administrator service offers the client very effortless control of related Mobile IDs.”

Bitwards system can be utilized to control not only doors but also closets and cupboards. There are users in the public sector, companies, and industrial facilities. Bitwards’s founder Eljas Saastamoinen describes the situation:

“A few years ago we stepped out of Flexim Security’s (current CERTEGO) meeting room to create a path to flexible but safe access. We created the technology and platform with which the clients – property owners, companies, and for example cities – can control their spaces in a safe way. There are hundreds of clients and tens of thousands of digital keys.”
